Chris Koldewey comes from a family rich in maritime traditions, and his lullabies as a child were traditional songs of the sea. He performs rousing chanteys, soulful ballads, and laments, and was privileged to perform while sailing on historic ships during his twenty years working in the Chantey Department at Mystic Seaport Museum in Connecticut. Chris brings us the traditions of the sea and shore, and lots of opportunity to sing along, performing on guitar, concertina, banjo and mandolin. He is an engaging performer, and we hope you’ll have the opportunity to join us in welcoming him back to the Cranberry Coffeehouse, which he (along with his wife Joy Bennett) ran for many years.
